APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE
December 29, 1950
A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
office of the Town Accountant on Thursday evening, December 28,
1950, with the following members in attendance:
Howard A. Patterson, Chairman
A. W. Cleveland William M. Hall
Clarence E. Smith Raymond W. James
Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr. John J. Sullivan
Prank D. Walker, Consultant
The minutes of the meeting held on December 19, 1950 were
presented and approved.
The following letter was read:
"Mr. Howard A. Patterson December 19, 1950
Chairman, Appropriation Committee
Lexington 73, Massachusetts
Dear Sir:
Confirming our verbal conversation of last evening we
respectfully request transfers from the Reserve Fund as
noted below:
Elections-Jurisdiction Selectmen $160.00
Unpaid bill amounting to $275.
for 8,000 warrants printed,
stenciled and mailed. Balance
in account $115.18.
Selectmen' s - Expenses $100.00
Unpaid bills amounting to X98.98
as of December 18th, balance in
account • 20.71. Unforeseen
constable fees ( Cary Ave. & Watson
Road) resulted in shortage.

It was voted to transfer the above amounts from the Reserve
Fund to respective accounts.

The following letter was read:
"Mr. Howard A. Patterson December 27 , 1950
Chairman, Appropriation Committee
Lexington 73, Massachusetts
Dear Mr. Patterson:
In order to pay bills of the Board of Health for
the remainder of the year it will be necessary to have
a transfer made from the Reserve Fund in the amount of
5500. A detailed explanation is attached for your
information.
It was voted to transfer $500.00 from the Reserve Fund
to Health-Expenses as requested.
A letter was also read from G. Mildred Thompson, Temporary
Collector of Taxes asking for a transfer of $171.01 in order to
pay the bond premium to George W. Taylor & Son. It was so voted.
A report of the Salary Committee, headed by Clarence Smith,
Chairman, was read.
The meeting adjourned at 8;50 P. M.
