APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE r)
Octooer 16, 1950
A meeting of the Appropriation Committee was held in the
office of the Town Accountant on Monday evening, October 16, 1950
with the following members in attendance:
Howard A. Patterson, Chairman
William M. Hall Clarence E. Smith
John J . Sullivan Ralph H. Tucker
A. W. Cleveland Raymond W. James
Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr.
Frank D. Walker, Secretary
The minutes of the meeting held on September 30, 1950 were
presented and approved.
Letter from Harod Roeder, Board of Fire Engineers reads :
"Mr. Howard Patterson October 5, 1950
123 Blake Road,
Lexington, Mass.
Dear Mr. Patterson:
If you remember, some time early last spring we
turned over to the Town Treasurer a sum of $490.00
that was received from scrap. At that time we purch-
ased an Electric Generator and auxilliary current for
the Fire Station for $4.90.00. You wrote us that some
time in the fall if we came in and asked for the $490.
your committee would be glad to reimburse us. We are
asking at this time for the $4.90.00 to replenish the
Fire Alarm Fund which is now depleted.

It was voted to transfer $4.90 .00 from the Reserve Fund to
Fire - Expense Account.
It was voted to transfer 3200.00 from Reserve Fund to
Veterans ' Benefits - Aid and Expenses, as requested in a letter
received from the Board of Selectmen.
It was voted to transfer $7.86 from Reserve Fund to Memorial
Day - Expenses, as requested in a letter received from the Board
of Selectmen.
William M. Hall will meet with the Long Range Planning Board
on Wednesday evening, October 18, 1950, in the Town Accountant' s
Office.

The articles on the Warrant of the Town Meeting to be held
on October 30, 1950 were reviewed and the following recommenda-
tions were made:
