APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HELD
7:30 P.M. March 13, 1950
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Howard A. Patterson,
in the Town Accountant' s Office, with the following members in atten-
dance;
Emile J. Vadeboncoeur Ralph H. Tucker
Clarence E. S.riith William 11. Hall
Leon W. Bateman Robert W. Fawcett
Thomas J. Donnelly Jr.
Frank D. Walker, Secretary
The minutes of the meeting held on February 27, 1950 were presented
and approved.
Edw. Chapin came in at 7:30 and discussed his request for X500«
additional for the year 1950, based on the expenditures for the first
two months, of 8878.10, ; more applications, more unemployment, 7 cases,
five permanent.
W. G. Potter came in and talked about Cemetery Personal Services.
It was voted that 8,500. be appropriated for toilet facilities at
Center Playground and a vote of thanks was given to Leon Bateman.
It was voted thatl 0,000. be appropriated for North Branch Vine-
Brook Sewer to be transferred from E. & D.
It was voted that 500. be added to Veterans ' Services - Expenses.
It was voted that 400. be added to Selectmen - Election Expenses.
It was voted that 4,000.. be appropriated additional for April 19th
Committee.
It was voted. that 15,000. be appropriated under Article 37-40, to
be transferred from E. & D.
Mr. James, Chairman of the Elementary School Building Co .mittee,
came in at 9 :25. Mrs . Ruth Morey, Chairman of the School Committee, came
in at 10 :15 with Harold Stevens , Town Counsel, and voted that detailed
plans and specifications would be presented with firm bids relative to
remodeling, construction and equipping.
It was voted to increase Town Office & Cary Mem. Bldg. ,-Expenses
by X6,650:
Cleaning Paintings 150.
New Boiler only 6,500.
It was voted to adjourn at 11:05 P. M.
