Minutes of The Meeting of The
APPROPRIATION COPIT ITTEE HELD AT
7:30 P. M. February 27 , 1950
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Howard A. Patterson
in the Town Accountant' s Office, with the following members in atten-
dance:
A. W. Cleveland Ralph H. Tucker
Emile J . Vadeboncoeur Slarence E. Smith
William M. Hall Leon W. Bateman
Robert W. Fawcett Thomas J. Donnelly, Jr.

Prank D. Walker, Secretary
Tom Don'lelly Jr. , and Leon Bateman were inadvertently left out
of the list of m embers present on February Po, 1950 minutes.
The minutes of the meeting held on February 20, 1950 were pre-
sented and approved..
The members adjourned to the Selectmen' s Room where a joint
meeting was held with the Selectmen, Cemetery Commission, School
Committee and the Assessors'. The Joint meeting adjourned at
7:50 P. M.
The Appropriation Committee reconvened in the Town Account-
ant' s Office and discussed the Appropriation Committee report which
is ready for the press. A few suggested changes were made.
A discussion regarding the toilet facilities at Center Play-
ground followed. It was thought that the price of 111,500. was
quite an amount to pay for a toilet and shed which could not be
used in the winter.
The arguments to be used in defending our decisions as to why
we take certain stands on each article and appropriations were dis-
cussed.. -
