THE APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE HELD
September 28, 1949 at 7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Howard A. Patter-
son, in the Town Accountant' s Office with the following members in
attendance:
William M. Hall Emile J. Vadeboncoeur
Robert W. Fawcett Clarence E. Smith
Ralph H. Tucker . A. W. Cleveland
Leon W. Bateman Thomas J. Donnelley, Jr.
Frank D. Walker - Secretary
The minutes of the meeting held Septemoer 12, 1949 were accepted
and approved.
A letter announcing Fall Town Meeting Nove.,_ber 14, 1949 read.
Copy of letter to Selectmen from Board of Public Welfare read.
Letter from Board of Selectmen requesting transfer of 318.75
to Dog Officer-Expenses vfas sent to all members.
It was voted to transfer the sum of X318. 75 from Reserve Bund
to Dog Officer- Expenses.
It was voted to invite the Lexington Visiting Nurse Association
to the next meeting October 10, 1949.
Mr. Hall and Mr. Smith had visited with the School Committee and
made a partial report before the Long Range Planning Comriitte was '--�
ready to meet with us.
The meeting adjourned at 8:A5 to the Selectmen' s room, where an
informal get-to-gether was held in conjunction with the chairman of
the Board of Selectmen. They are requesting from us our estimated
total current expenditures for the next five years so that their
Board will be able to make their report early.
The joint meeting adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
