On Acct. #2480 - Recreation - Exp . - PTSA portion of $3,000. -
a Motion to recommend a cut from 016,850. to $13,850. was postponed.
It was agreed that Town Meeting. should have the opportunity to vote
on such an amendment .
A Tax Rate of ,67 .00, subject to Votes of Town Meeting, is pro-
jected, at this time .
The meeting was recessed at 7:55 P .M. , to Town Meeting.

The Appropriation Committee held. a reconvened meeting at 7:30 P.M.,
on Wednesday, March 22, 1972, in the Conference Room, Cary Memorial
Hall . Present were Edward E . Furash, Chairman, Jack L. Mitchell,
Vice Chairman, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, Arthur T . Bernier,
J. H. Blaisdell, Levi G. Burnell, Howard L. Levingston, H. Bigelow
Moore, Donald B . White and Richard M. Perry, Comptroller.
The Chairman reporte0ossibilities and recommendations on the
following Articles :
Art. #34 - Cary Library Renov. - there may be a motion to
amend upwards from $112,000.
Art. #39 - Merr. St. Pkg. Lot - still recommend unfavorable action
Art. 02 - Bicenten. Celeb. - still recommend unfavorable action
Art. #43 - Musuem - still recommend unfavorable action
Art. ;#45 - Bicycling paths - there may be a motion to amend
upwards from $2,500.
Art . #53 - Conservation - if there is a Motion to bond all
thru ;161 the Conserv. Articles the Commit-
tee will not oppose this, but the
Chairman will point out to TM our
concern that, in applying bonding
to land acquisition the following
could occur:

on Monday, March 27, 1972, in the Conference Room, Cary Memorial

The Chairman will address Town Meeting with respect to the bonding
of Conservation land acquisitions .
