Acct. #4950 - question S-20-D reclassification. Appropriations
suggests S-20-C
Acct. #.52..0 - agree to include $500. for roof repairs but to cut out
floor machine item of $700. New budget agreed at
$26,300.
Acct. #5400 - Selectmen do not want cut of $40,000. in resurfacing,
they intend to put out one large contract in the spring.
Aect. #5500 - Selectmen to review Snow budget
Aect. #5550 - agree on $8,000. budget

fication - must do planting in 1970
Acct. #5900 - Appropriations suggests $37,000. Selectmen recommend
$38,000 - no agreement

$6,680. to budget for recreation equipment
Acct. #6100 - both Committees to reconsider because of the increase
in equipment rental

_The Appropriations Committee held a meeting at 7:30 P.M., on Monday,
January 19, 1970, in the Comptroller's Office, Town Office Building,
Lexington. Members present were Robert M. Gary, Chairman, Edward E.
Furash, Vice Chairman, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, Richard M. Perry,
Comptroller, Jack L. Mitchell, H. Bigelow Moore , J. H. Blaisdell,
Donald B. White and Louis A. Zenner.

At 10:00 P.M. Selectmen Cataldo and Kenney, Town Manager O'Connell and
Executive Assistant Gray joined the meeting and the following budgets
were reviewed:

Selectman Cataldo stated that Town Counsel -Legro
will serve until the Annual TM is concluded, but
may not continue after then. In this event, with
a change in Counsel possible and a new set-up, they feel
that the sum requested is necessary

The Selectmen have agreed to the appointment of
a new office of Captain of Traffic
