HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-11-03-AC-MIN.pdf 27 The Appropriations Committee held a meeting at 7:45 P .M., on Monday, November 3, 1969, in the Comptroller' s Office, Town Office Building, Lexington. Members present were Robert M. Gary, Chairman, Edward E . Furash, Vice Chairman, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary, Levi G. Burnell, J. Harper Blaisdell, Jack L. Mitchell, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller and Donald B. White . The Chairman presented the following request for transfer: Acct . #1125 $1000. Fire & Police Medical to pay M75. medical bill for injured fireman and e-� subsequent bills Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to transfer 01000. The Reserve balance now is about $76, 000. Chairman Gary, in anticipation of upcoming budget meetings with depart- mental heads, suggested that the big accounts, such as Fire, Police, Public Works and Selectmen, be invited in first. Hopefully, all but the Selectmen might be interviewed by the end of December. Members of the Committee will be assigned to specific departments and prior to the interview may examine last year ' s budget, examine the current budget re- quest, go to the Department head if so chooses and the week before the actual interview Appropriations can discuss the matter and prepare ques- tions . White and Louis A. Zehner. Comptroller Perry advised that as of this due date ( 11/10) , 75% of the Budgets had been submitted. Others are to come in by November 12.
