The Appropriations Committee held a meeting on Monday, June 16, 1969,
at 8:00 P .M., in the Comptroller' s Office, Town Office Building.
Members present were Robert M. Gary, Chairman, J. Harper Blaisdell,
— Edward E . Furash, H. Bigelow Moore, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller and
Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary.
Executive session was held at 8:05 P.M. and closed at 8:15 P.M.
Discussion was held as to the requests for Transfer from the Reserve
Fund by the Selectmen and the Town Clerk. The Chairman advised that
he had received a breakdown of the total amounts requested and that the
status of the Accounts is as follows:

Selectmen Acct . #1900 $3,000. $2,318.50 $163.00
Town Clerk Acct. #1950 1,500. 1,263.00 807.00
Upon motions duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED to transfer
the following amounts:
Board of Selectmen Acct . #1900 c32,500.
Town Clerk Acct. #1950 1,300.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M. to confer with the Board of Selectmen
in the Selectmen ' s Room, Town Office Building. Discussion was held on
the Memorandum submitted to the Selectmen re: the establishment of a
Personnel Board. It was agreed that a five person Board should be
appointed as soon as possible to begin formulating guide lines for their
study. The Board of Selectmen will charge the Personnel Board to arrive
at specific directions by the end of this year. It is envisioned that
the entire project could take from two to three years to complete.
The meeting with the Selectmen was closed at 9:55 P.M.
The Appropriations meeting was adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
