Meeting of the Appropriation Committee, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 1969 7:30 p.m.

Planning Board members N. Riffin and E. Lund.
Expense Budget discussed - official reques by Selectmen is for #3950;
workable program is exlluded.
Zaleski salary discussed - comparative figures from other towns will be sen' .
At+s. 69-?3 - Hayden Woods discussed. Cost $132,500 includes survey and
appraisals ($5900 for these). $2000/A is below"marketvalue raking into
consideration rezoning' Caldwell recently acquired by Bdsa who is asking
$5,000 per Acre. ValleYvield Trust piece has not agreed ye, by Ping. Bd.
thinks they will by Town Meeting.
LrJ Art. 102 - Consulting on High Accident spots. Nr. Roe Hendrick proposed
+-� study of locations. State standards mush be met.
Ar+.. 103 - North South Traffic study Consultant to set up study and analyze
results - volunteers o do work
Art. 3 - Reimburselsubdividers $20,000
Ar' . 105 - needed ' o qualify us under Workable Program. Housing Programs
reimbursement. We can't apply for some housing programs unless you have a
"workable program". Board of Health is expec4ed to enforce some stale
laws. The code enforcement officer will insure that the town is inspected
every five years - about 1/4 each year. Fed. govt. is revising requirements-
they sill want a workable program but may not require code enforcement officer
Ar' . 65 - Stedman Rd. Road between Franklin School and new J.H.S. which
Selectmen have asked to be laid out.
Art. 62 - Footway from Es`abrook Rd. to Nickerson Rd. Children would have
to cross Mass. Ave. twice or walk on side of Nass. without sidewalks. When
subdivision came in, Planning Bd. asked for an easement to for walkway.
Town counsel insisted this would notbe a gravel path but should be laid
oul , surfaced and maintained as a walkway.
