Town Counsel rules that we may not use Sale of Lots fund for purchase
of backhoe even though this is mainly for development afid enlargement
of cemetery.
Art. 30 Traffic study. New amount requested is 326,000 instead
of 3500. Ilecommenc. against.
Article 4 Considered Selectmen's recommendations where committees
disagreed.
Account #.3300 Police expenses. Uniforms actually cost
5491/uan instead of 3275/man as reported by Chief last yr.
Replacement cost in 1967: .3100/man instead of 0 as
estimated last yr. :tecommend unfforms in full + 85/man
for replacements.
Public Safety budget has risen from 32880 to 34,250.
Batteries estimated at : 2,000/yr. Suggest use of charger.
Accounts show that 10 guns requested for 1967 have
already been purchased and paid for in 196G. Continue
to recommend against this increase.

Account #5250 Agreed to include gutters, delay Hitchen
and doors. Also recommend against police station renova—

Account #3200 Public Facilities Bldg. Recommend removing
unused phone from second floor (3250) and reduce
furnishings to $500. New budget recommendation $2,600.
Article 57 a Planning Board Article for Emerson Road. No figure
known. This is not included in Selectmen's total of
3102,250 recommended by them for streets.
