Art. 23 . — put underground wiring in Merriam St. from Lass. Ave. to
RR. 03,000
Art. 29 Selectmen's option fund $3,500
Art. 69 Plannin_, Board Option Fund 32,500
Art. 61 Peacock Farm land acquisition 32,000
Art. 5 Suggest salary for Town Clerk be 310,000, Treasurer 3100.
This instead of recommended 310,000 + 31,500.

Appropriation Committee recommends 375,000. Suggested cuts
are Aerial ladder, front end loader and sidewalk tractor,
totalling 324,000.

Selectmen have 31,400 carry—over in their option fund.
Frank Parrish had left early in the meeting to attend School Committee
meeting and request that they cut their audget by $150,00 .
School Committee, he reported, willprobably cut about 3150,000.
Ise told them that this committee had voted to make sure that kinderarteu
goes before Town Meeting and had voted to oppose kindergarten. Only
with the understandig that we realize they have control over how they
spend their money do we reconsider these votes.
The cuts will be ite._ized in writing only as to appropriate large accounts.

Art. 16 Hartwell Ave. sealer 3180,000. It is possible to authorize
bonding iut not bond until we know that companies have
advertised for :aids. Can bond 30 years, 2A payment.
Art. 17 Trunk sewers for future develop:.:eats. 3750,000 requested
Bonding It was suggested that $1 million sewer bond be recommended,
to include Ilartwell Ave. , laterals and whatever engineering
and trunks we recommend
