Budgets discussed:
#1500, 1700 Question why secretary is changed from 85 VI to S9C and
why Planning Director goes from S25 IV to 526C. Letter from Lr. Ab.,o tt
explains that their secretary needs more specialized background ana
skills and that Plodding Director is jumped to keep him ' in line with'
Al Grey wad John Carroll. Committee decided to recommend normal step
raises unless more justification is given since the Salary Advisory
Coemit.,ee did not recommend these changes.

300 is requestbd for summer course for Planning Director instead of
any out—of—state travel request.
, 2500 is to be requested for options under an Article.
#1900 — Question whether item for Insurance on machines is included
in regular building insurance. Dick Perry will check.
#2000 — Board of Registrars — request increase in salary for registrars
from :, 99/yr. to 3350/yr, and increase for Clerk from 3225 to 3450.
Question whether this is the Town Clerk acting as Clerk for registrars,
if so should her total salary be set to include all duties performed
by her for any department, rater than receiving additional small
amounts for various duties. llo;r many ho. rs does Registrar's clerk
work, how many nights or Saturdays must the clerk spend at t..is? Frank
Parrish will check.
Kindergartens — A ri,:,,4o rity of committee favors giving To an Meetin the
opportunit, to vote on kindergartens oy amending Article 4 if there is
no separate Article. ,Mould prefer a separate Article. Majority of
committee voted that they were opposed to establishing aiaaergartens;
committee report will recommend the school budget minus -t__e amount
allotted to kindergartens.
#2400 — Lown Celebrations Committee — ,udget decreased to ,6,000
#2460 — Conservation Corimis...ion — budget decreased to 3300, suggest
they stop senaing minutes to everyone, sectl. budget of
3500 was requested.
#2470 — Recreation Committee — review fees charged — budget approved
#2480 — Aecreation expenses — question Senior Citizens bus expenses
increase to ,31,200.
