The Appropriation Committee met on Monday, November 22, 1965, at 7:30 p.m.
in the office of the Town Accountant
Present: Frank T. Parrish, Jr. , Chairman
J. Harper Blaisdell Oscar R. Ca. lson
Allan Kenney Robert M. Gary
Logan Clarke Donald P. Noyes
Mrs. Richard 4. Nouza Raymond L. White, Secretary
Meeting was called to order at 7:58 p.m.
The first item considered was a request of $200.00 from the Reserve Fund
to take care of voting machines. The Town owns 34 voting machines and George
Freeman, mechanic for Police Dept. on motor equipment, would take care
r-1 of and service Noting machines. A motion was made and seconded and voted
L-J to transfer $200.00 from the Reserve Fund for George Freeman to take care
of voting machines. Transfer was made to Elections -Jurisdiction of Town
Clerk account for out-of-state travel (training course for Freeman)
A letter from Mr. Gray in regards to letter the Town received from the
Postal authorities on funds they have to ourctedit.
Mr. Parrish, Chairman, spoke in general on confirmation he received from
Rufus McQuillan on Cummings Milk Co.
Alfred Gray, executive assistant, entered our meeting at 8:30 p.m. lie
stated that the index used must be the same in all cases.
Letter from Board of Public Welfare requesting a transfer of $3,000.00
from the Reserve Fund to Public Relief - General Relief account.
A motion was made, seconded and voted to transfer $3,000.00 from the Reserve
Fund to Public delfare and Expenses Account.
