Articles to be presented at up coming Town Meeting on land purchases.
1. 10 acres at Tophet Swamp - $15,000 - have option
20 acres at Tophet Swamp - $30,000 - ties into Art. 55 of 1976
2. Transfer of several small pieces of property
3. Liberty Heights (3 parcels) in East Lexington, less than 1 acre
4. 11 acres (Swenson) Dunbeck Meadows - $55,000
5. Trinity Covenant Church - 14 acres - $100,000 (will give us
6 additional acres)
6. No. Lexington Brook area
7. Add to fund - $10,000
John Bergeron: Chief of Fire Department joined meeting.
1. Re: article for ambulance - $38,000 - (Present ambulance 48,000 miles)
rotting out
Possible second ambulance in future so do not trade
2. Reviewed Acct. 4150 - Fire Expense line items
Will keep fire alarm system we have, but not add additional except
business, churches, etc.
Fuel (15,000 gals.) up $3,500, but hope storm windows & new steam
valves will help conserve

1. Playground Tot Lot repairs - Requesting total of $25,000
2. Expense budget - Cost of swim tags up
3. Reviewed Pers. Services budget
(a) Fewer hours in clerical
(b) Added time for field/work study
(c) Center Pool being staffed for more hours-larger pool area
in new complex to cover
