APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE
DATE: December 6, 1976

I . DPW - Messrs. Coschia and Empey joined the meeting to discuss
DPW recommendations :
a. Stockman - this is felt to be a necessity and will so be
recommended.
b. Audit - no other towns do this on equipment. Mr. McSweeney
would like to see an outside audit done. Hopefully before
Town Meeting.
c. 3 cars and 2 pick-up trucks being used after hours.
d. Chairman Furash stated that he would like to see specific
proof of a satisfactory procedure in the works before
approving the budget -- I want to see this in writing.
e . Day-to-day operations - we would like to see this as part
of the budget.
f. Policy - this has to be brought up with the new Town Manager,
i.e . , cars.
II . BOARD OF SELECTMEN
At 8 :45 P.M. the Appropriation Committee joined the Board of
Selectmen to review the DPW '77- ' 78 Expenditures (sheet attached) .
Meeting adjourned at 10:45 P.M.
Next meeting is scheduled for Monday, December 13, 1976 at 7:30 P.M.
