APPROPRIATION COMMITTEE
DATE: March 29, 1975
TIME: 7:30 P.M.
PRESENT: Edward E. Furash, Chairman, Elizabeth M. Flynn, Secretary,

Arthur T. Bernier, Patricia K. Hagedorn, Howard L.
Levingston, Richard M. Perry, Comptroller
- PLACE: Board of Selectmen Meeting Room
Present: A. Kenney, M. Battin, A. Busa, H. Kassler,
F. Bailey, Town Manager O'Connell
DISCUSSED:
1. Article 17 - Drains - G. Martin of Engineering Department
presented information; (a) estimate to do Fletcher Avenue
is $25,000, (b) Wood Street $16,000 - Amount to be reduced
here.
2. Article 23 - IFF Study - To be indefinitely postponed.
May be done "in house" starting next year or two. Possibly
some study costs such as equipment rental etc. , in Article
IV. Chairman Furash stated he felt this could be placed
in DPW budget. Selectmen will postpone.
3. Article 41 - Tropeano Land - Will be indefinitely postponed.
4. Article 44 - Napoli Land - Includes 12 house lots on frontage
street ( 5 on one and 7 on another) . There is probably 20
house lots in total here. Conservation Commission have
agreed offer for $200,000 plus wiping out $6,000 betterments -
This is to be discussed further.
5. Article 4 & 5 - Unratified settlement with DPW, Police and
Fire. Union officials should report results next week.
6. The amount of $2,000 for Hanscom Study is to be included
in Article 4 - Account 1090.
7. Verbally agreed that Town Meetingswill run next three
Mondays, March 31, April 7 and 14. Board of Selectmen and
Appropriation Committee to meet next Saturday morning at
9:15 A.M. - April 5, 1975.
