Article 4: Account #2470 - $ 93,000 Account #3750 - $1,139,800 Account #4900 - $1,263,072 Voted $3, 306 for reclassification "— Article 7: Unpaid 1972 Bills Recommended: $500. To be raised in the tax levy. Article 12: Supplementary appropriation for Water Mains , Sewers, Drains , etc . Recommended: $25,000 Article 17 : Drains Recommended: $50,000 Article 19: Sidewalks, Construction Recommended: Favorable Action $25,000 Article 23: Sewer Trunks - Hayes Lane Recommended : Favorable Action $76 ,800. Transfer $16,800 From Article 21 of 1970 Town Meeting and $60, 000 on the Tax levy. Article 24: Public Works Equipment Recommended: Favorable Action $110,000 Article 25: Engineering Services - Street Design Postponed. _ Article 26: Engineering Services - Sewer Survey Recommended: Unfavorable Action. No funds requested. Article 28 : Sanitary Landfill Operation Study Recommended: Favorable Action. $15,000 - $8 ,000 to be transferred from Article 30 of the 1970 Town Meeting and $7,000 from the June 1969 Special Town Meeting. 10 Article 29: Improvement of Lexington's Brooks Recommended: Favorable Action. $15, 000 - Transfer of $11,000 from Article 25 of 1971 Town Meeting and $4,000 from Article 25 of 1972. Article 70: Land Purchase - Stedman Road Recommended: Unfavorable Action. $30,000 requested. DISCUSSION Lee Whitman, Capital. Expenditures Committee , joined the meeting to discuss briefly his feelings on Meriam Street Parking. He and his Committee are not at all pleased with the planning thus far and intend to discuss it further with the Selectmen on Monday night. Chairman Furash stated that he felt one big motive in regard to this situation would be to be sure that there was absolutely no more "free parking" to be allowed within the center.
