Voted to accept minutes of December 2, 1985 meeting.
Discussed Personnel Advisory Board functions.
Jason Berger, labor attorney, was nominated by George Burnell to be on
Personnel Advisory Board - So voted.
Lexpress assigned to J. Campbell.
SCHEDULED: January 27, 1986-get Police & Fire in for budget discussion.
February 3, 1986-Public Works
February 10, 1986-Lexpress Human Services

Police Chief Furdon spoke of staffing problems with several retirements taking
place. He also gave crime statistics for past few years. Expense budget up
only slightly. No. of cadets - 6.
Chief Bergeron and Asst. Chief McDonough - New Ambulance is in and operational.
(Will seek replacement in 4 years instead of 5 as in the past. Could receive
funds for Hurricane Gloria. Have 3 vacancies and one on vacation (this man
has filed for Accidental Disability retirement) .
Appropriation Committee to question need for Ass't. Chief's car.
Re: letter by Chairman O'Sullivan to Personnel Advisory Board.
Public Works will be at next meeting on February 3.
Lexpress & Human Services on February 10.
