Committee reviewed memo from W. J. Tonaszuck, Dir. of Public Works to Town Manager
dated October 5, 1983 regarding complete costs involved in construction of All-
Weather Track at Center Playground.
Chairman Dailey reported on conversation with Chairman of the Conservation
Commission. They are looking at possible land purchases at 1984 Annual Town
Meeting and would be in to this committee as situations progress.
Chairman Dailey also reported on the fact that a citizen's committee is considering
soliciting donations for construction of lights for one of the center ball fields,
in liew of requesting town funds.
Barry Marshall to report to TMMA of the willingness of this committee to partici-
pate in a meeting on town finances.
The committee was furnished copies of the "Selectmen-Town Manager Act Review
Committee" report and asked to read it and offer any comments on it. A new
budget timetable is part of this report, with the recommendation that this section
be added to the Town By-Laws, rather than become part of the legislation.
Minutes of the meetings of this committee will be submitted to the members
for acceptance before being typed into the official records.
Respectfully submitted,
