B. Marshall attended School Comm./Bd. of Selectmen meeting on January 8, 1983, also
attended by representatives from MinuteMan Vocational School. B. Marshall reported
that limitations imposed by Prop. 22 were discussed and it was generally agreed
that any cuts should be shared on a 55% School-45% Town basis. School preliminary
budget should be available by end of the week.
Personnel Advisory Board to be invited to next meeting.
Ms. Sally Castleman and Sara Arnold of Transportation Advisory Committee (Lexpress)
joined meeting. They have submitted budget of $269,000 to Town Manager. They are
not aware of what type of program the Manager would propose for the $50,000 in his
budget. Still studying Town leasing vs. Purchasing of buses as compared to
Contractor/Operator supplying buses although new bids to go out on Contractor/
Operator supplied and for a period of 1, 2 or 3 years.
