• AC discussed the draft report for the upcoming Special Town Meeting on Lincoln
Park. Some of the interested parties in the project include landscape gardeners,
funding from the Kirk Trust, Recreation Committee, and Conservation
Committee.
• Discussion of some of the misinformation being circulated regarding the project.
Concern expressed if the Town Meeting were to adjust in anyway the work of the
previous Town Meeting and the vote taken by the community with the debt
exclusion vote.
• MOTION: The Appropriation Committee has not received any information to
date that would cause the Committee to change its previous recommendation to
Town Meeting that three synthetic fields be constructed at Lincoln Park.
UNANIMOUS
• AC and CEC will jointly mail their reports to Town Meeting.
• General discussion of the "budget gap". BOS seems to be focusing on a one-year
solution. Suggestion made for a structured override with the amounts being $5.5
million and $ 7 million.
• Committee agreed that they would not micromanage the at risk list
• Upcoming meetings will be on January 15, Summit Meeting, January 16th AC
Meeting, January 22" Special Town Meeting, January 23rd A C Meeting, January
30th AC Meeting. Also schedule a meeting for all Thursdays in February except
school vacation week.
