• Minutes of September 25, 2001 approved
• R Neumier represented the Recreation Committee to discuss the athletic fields,
which will need to be reconstructed at the elementary schools. Discussion of the
golf course and the revenues generated from the operation. Eric will discuss with
K Simmons. Fees were increased in FY 01.
• Recreation Capital Plan discussed. FY 03 reconstruct the Pine Meadows parking
lot ($300,000), FY 05 retaining wall on the 9th hole ($400,000), Adams and
Valley tennis court reconstruction, FY 07 center playground
• ATFC Annual Meeting. Those wishing to attend please notify J Ryan
• Elementary School Project. Discussion surrounding possible "swing space". P
Hamburger, G Burnell and J Moynihan met on November 7, 2001. Cost estimated
to be between$5.5 and 7.5 million. Possible space at Diamond or a piece of
commercial space.
• Summit II general discussion. $ 5.7 million gap. Put back SBAB funds of$702k,
palaces gap at $6.4 million
• Discussed the school capital request of $355k for FY 03 and$ 1,857 for FY 04
• COA Building Committee. Nothing new reported
• Cary Library has raised $ 2.6 million as of Nov. 18, 2001. Eric will seek quarterly
updates
