• General discussion of the Cary Library renovation project. J Snyder discussed
where the project currently stands having opened bids on May 7, 2001. Discussed
the contingency being requested by the PBC.
• T Griffths indicated that the CEC was positive and upbeat although not quite
unanimous in support of the new estimated cost.
• Majority of the AC does not support the proposed Tree By-Law.
• AC voted 6/2/1 opposing the Peter Kelley amendment
• If P Kelley amendment fails the AC voted to take the $213,000 from"free cash"

• Motion to amend to cut $ 85,000 from Planning, $90,000 from Schools, with the
remaining $ 38,000 coming from"free cash". Vote 5/3/1.
• General discussion of Fiscal 2003 projections
