• Motion: Approve minutes of the July 28, 1998 meeting. Unanimous
• Roster update distributed. Please forward change to J Ryan
• MMA Legislative Bulletin dated August 10, 1998 distributed. Discussion centered
around Cherry Sheet discretionary aid(possibly$136,000) and the spending
requirements for school building maintenance as established by Section 241 of the
budget act. Need to verify compliance with J Moynihan. Also discussed the required
school spending at regional vocational schools.
• Distributed Assoc. of Town Finance Committees Newsletter, July 1998.
• Annual ATFC meeting will be held on October 24, 1998
• Distributed set of AC and CEC Reports to Town Meeting
• General discussion of possible school capital request and possible Special Town
Meeting and election.
• AC should attempt to show costs associated with going forward with a school project
a year later.
• Meeting schedule: Cancel August 27th, schedule Sept 8, 15 and October 1St
