• P Lapointe discussed possible options as to how the AC might organize for Fy 99.
There could possibly be a number of co-chairs based on the major issues that need to
be dealt with. Organization will perhaps take place at next meeting with the full
committee present
• P Lapointe will assume the Presidency of the ATFC in January 1999,which will take
more of his time.
• Possible major areas to be reviewed in the current fiscal year are: (1) school capital as
well as other municipal capital needs and the possible accompanying debt exclusion:
(2) forecasting and balancing the Fy00 operating budget without a general operating
override: (3) other such as: PILOTS, enterprise funds, special education, sewer
infiltration program, minuteman assessment
• Discussed the need to have a liaison for each of the major boards and committees.
• Discussed possible assignments: School capital D Rudner and R Pawliczek;
PILOTs and enterprise funds, E Michelson and A Levine; Forecasting, P Lapointe,
E Michelson, P Hamburger, C Welch
• General discussion on school enrollments and their effect on staff levels as well as
buildings
• Next meetings will be Thursday, August 13th and 27th
• Motion to adjourn
