• P Lapointe discussed 3 substitute motions that may come up. PILOT's, MMRVHS,
and the Bedford Street lights under Article 5.
• The proposal will be to fund the Bedford Street lights from C 90 funds. C Hornig
indicated that he supported the use of C 90 funds for this purpose.
• MMRVHS substitute motion will request an appropriation of$1 less than the
assessment which will mean that Lexington has rejected the assessment
• MOTION: To support the substitute motion to MMRVHS and appropriate $1 less
the assessment. UNANIMOUS.
• General discussion of the Bedford Street lights. BOS wants to $50,000 from free cash
for the lights and then fund$ 50,000 of Article 5 for the schools from the FY 98
Reserve Fund. AC feels that the FY 98 Reserve Fund is probably already committed
and therefore does not support the BOS recommendation.
• MOTION: Approve the substitute motion to use C 90 funds for the Bedford Street
lights. UNANIMOUS
• General discussion of PILOT's . Town Manager has increase the appropriation
request from the Sewer Department in order to cover the PILOT payment.
• MOTION: Not to support the amendment to be offered by P Kelly and to keep the
Sewer PILOT at$ 250,000. MAJORITY(5y/4n)
