* Present: P Lapointe, M Miley, M Mairson, R Borghesani, M Hastings, R Colwell,
J Pagett, J Ryan
* Absent: R Leone, L Peck
* Also Present: C Mahoney and J Triesi (Cary Library)
* C Mahoney distributed information regarding the grant application for the library
expansion and renovation. PBC has selected an architect, S Hale & Assoc. The
estimated cost at this time is $ 6 million. Floor area will increase from 38 to 50,000 sq ft.
An announcement on funding is due in September.
* C Mahoney also discussed appropriation request from Minuteman Network and reasons
for wishing to leave the Metro Boston Library Network at a cost of$68,000.Annual costs
are estimated to be approx. $ 40,000
* M Miley completed and submitted Town Report
* Town Manager will submit preliminary budget on January 16th in accordance with Town
By-Law
* General discussion of MMRVHS and information received from R Fitzgerald
* P Lapointe will set up joint meeting with Capital Expenditures Committee
* J Pagett reported that the School Department has voted a capital budget request
* Reserve Fund transfer request from the Retirement Board.
* MOTION: Approve transfer of $ 5,050.02 to the Contributory Retirement System for a
military service buy back in accordance with existing statutes. UNANIMOUS
* MOTION: Refuse transfer request made by the Public Celebrations Committee in the
amount of $ 11,500.MAJORITY(6 Y, 1 N(RC))
* General discussion on the Ad-Hoc Building Committee
* MOTION: Approve minutes of November 21 and December 12, UNANIMOUS
* MOTION TO ADJOURN
