* MOTION to accept minutes of March 30th as amended
PASSED: UNANIMOUS
* General discussion of Article 31 as it appears on "Report of the Motion
to be Submitted Under Article 31" by Jay Kaufman, dated April 4, 1994.
* MOTION to support Article 31
PASSED: UNANIMOUS
* G Burnell led general discussion as to whether the AC proceeds with its amendment
to Article 4,Line Item 3000,DPW Expenses or does the AC make comments on the issue
without offering an amendment. The projected savings from a street light change was
originally in the area of $ 128,000,it is now estimated to be in the area of $ 48,000.
* G Burnell feels that it is important for the Town Meeting to be aware that this was a
possible savings without impacting the delivery of services or the programs offered in the
schools.
* P Lapointe wishes to go forward with the amendment and try to save $ 75,000
in the General Fund.
* General discussion followed with G Burnell wishing to withdraw amendment and simply
speak to the issue.
* Sense of the AC was to go forward with the amendment
* G Burnell stated that there was going to be a meeting on Thursday, April 7th at 4:00pm
and will apprise the AC of details on Wednesday evening.
* General discussion of the Hayward amendment on salary adjustments took place on the
floor of Town Meeting
* MOTION to support the amendment
