Abbott, R. Borghesani, R. Souza, J. Ryan Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. Chairman Burnell welcomed Paul La Pointe to the committee filling the unexpired term of John Curry J. Pagett discussed the proposed School budget as submitted by Superintendent Young. In order to remain status-quo the schools would need an additional 3% or $851,000. School enrollment is expected to rise by 4% (181 students) thereby necessitating an additional cost of $397,000. Special education costs are also of concern, primarily in the tutoring area. Capital is not being fully funded and there appears to be a cut of $95,000 in the maintenance request. Enrollment is expected to rise 11.6% over the next five years, C. Abbott resigned from the Superintendent's Advisory Committee for Metco in order to remain on the A.C. after having discussed her situation with Town Counsel. C Abbott discussed the financial aspects of the Metco program, identifying the costs associated with the program(transportation, administrative costs associated --� with the program and instructional reimbursements) AC attended the Selectmen' meeting to hear the Tows► Managers Fiscal 1994 budget overview. S. Nablo informed the AC of the formation of the ad-hoc committee which will be charged with attempting to assist in resolving the health insurance dilemma. G.Burnell will attend meeting on January 8, 1993 with the chairs of all the major boards. Next meeting scheduled for Monday, January 25, 1993 @ 7:30pm in the Comptroller Office.
