Discussed how to proceed with interviews of Town Clerks and local League of Women Voters. See
attached document for a draft.
Marian Cohen discussed her literature review on the subj ect of voting in local elections. The points she
made were:
• Sense of community
• Importance of household voting
• Effect of incumbency
• Importance of candidates connecting with electorate
• Politics of acquaintances
• Cumulative voting
• Civic Culture
Next steps:
1. Review draft questions (attached)
2. Ask Eileen Zalisk about getting information from Vote Builder
3. Obtain information from census
4. Jeri Zeder will ask for civics curriculum from the schools
