The polls were declared open in each precinct at
two o ' clock P . r.I . , and remained open in each precinct
until eight o ' clock P . M . , at which time after due notice ,
they were closed .
The election officers were sworn to the fa ' thful
perforriance of their duties . The ballots were counted
by the election officers in each precinct , the tally
sheets and total vote sheets prepared by the Town Clerk
being used .
The ballots cast were counted , enclosed in envelopes ,
sealed , signed by the election officers , together with
the unused ballots , deli.verTd to the Registrars of Voters ,
who proceeded to canvass the same , with the following result ,
which was declared by the Town Clerk .

Precinct 2 . Ballots Cast : Republican 302 Democratic 20 , Total 322
