The election officers were sworn to the faithful performance
of their duties . The ballots were countedlo: 7 the election officers
in each precinct , the tally sheets and total vote sheets prepared
the Town Clerk being used .
The ballots least were counted , enclosedin envelopes , sealed
signed by the election officers , together wit ' the unused bal ots ,
deliveredto the Town Clerk at his office . The total registration of

•
Shall the proposedlaw which provides that it shall be lawful
in any city which accents the act 107 vote of its city council ' and-
in any town whichaccepts the act by vote of its inhabitants , to
take part in or witness any athletic oufdonr spe, rt or game , except
horse racing , automobile racing , boxing or hunting with firearms ,
on the Lord ' s day between 2 and. 6 P . M . ; that such snorts or games
s'hall take place on such playgrounds , parks or other places as may
be designated in a license issued by certain licensing authorities ;
thkkt no snort or game shall be permittedin a place other than a
public playgroundor park within one thousandfeet of any regular
place' of worship ; that the charging of admission fees or the taking
of collections or the receiving of remuneration by any person in
charge of or participating in any such snort or game shall not be
prohibited ; that the license may bo revoked ; andthat in cities
andtowns it which amateur snorts or games are permitted under
existing law wuch amateur snorts or Eames may be held until the
nrorosed law is accented or the provisions of the existing law
fail of acceptance on resubmission to the people , which law was
di_ saprroved in the Senate b . a vote of 9 in the affirmative and. 22
in the negative , andin the House of Representatives by a vote of
93 in the affirmative and 110 in the negative , be approved. ?
