Minutes approved by all.
3. Update from Jackie Daley
• Feels like a very different year than previous
Launch of School Year
years and we are still in the middle of a
pandemic. Compared to last year, this year is
more of a gray area: ex quarantining. There are
more questions and explanations needed.
• Adjustment period feels like it will take a little
longer than a typical school year and we have
lots of support in the building to help students
with that. Decisions are being made to meet the
students where they are right now.
• Families report that students are transitioning
well.
4. Innovation Plan and Role of School Based • A...'unk to 1:1resentation

5. MTSS and next steps • School Improvement Process: goals for the school for this
year academically and emotionally. What are we striving
SIP 2020-211;1Eu . ,E.. for? There are three tiers within this work. Everybody
gets Tier 1, Tier 2 is the next layer of support for students
who are having a hard time, Tier 3 is even more support.
• All schools in Lexington have participated in the MTSS
self- assessment. At Harrington, the Leadership Advisory
Team completed a form based on the tool in early
October.
• Schools reported similar areas of strength and areas with
room to grow.
• Educators use this information to form their student
learning goals and professional practice goals.
• Administrative goals:

• What does this mean for the School Site Council? We
will be looking at this information as we create the
School Improvement Plan (SIP) , a one year plan with
typically 3 goals that we monitor throughout the
year.
• Now school innovation plan (2 years) based on the
objectives of the districts, we will create a plan with
four goals with benchmarks. This will be more public
and will celebrate joy in learning.
• Timeline:
• October MTSS has been completed, Site Council
considers the information provided
• Jan/Feb plan will be submitted (dialogue is ongoing)
• March April Joy in Learning celebrations begin
• May final formal submission for the following year
(2023-2025)
• Next September begin implementation
• This new process will be much more visible and will
have more commonality across the district
• We set goals, benchmarks, monitor our progress in
those four main areas
• Look for information from Lisa McGuire from Jen
Minasian. There will be docs that need to be filled
out.
