Returning Gardener Request Form
To request a community garden plot, fill out the attached form and mail, along with the appropriate fee, to the Conservation
Office in the Town Offices Building (Community Development Office) located at 1625 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA
02420. Town Offices continue to remain closed to the public at this time. Please note that:
RETURNING GARDENERS: Returning gardeners are given priority to reclaim their plot from last year. The request
deadline for returning gardeners is Monday, March 22nd, 2021. If you have not requested a plot by that date, your
plot will be opened up to new gardeners.
NEW GARDENERS: Plot requests for new gardeners at Idylwilde will be taken through an online registration system
starting on Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at 9:00 am on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to Town of
Lexington residents. Please refer friends and family interested in a new garden plot to the community gardens website:
http://www.lexingtonma.gov/conservation/pages/community-garden
Once you have been assigned a plot, your garden coordinator will contact you to confirm your plot number and let you
know when you may begin gardening.
In order to best accommodate the demand for garden plots, gardeners may only reserve 1 plot during registration
(see exception in garden policies, section 1(c)(i)). After garden registration has finished, your garden coordinator will
assess if there are empty plots remaining and offer them to gardeners who are interested in an additional plot.
