3. Group Picture
4. Co-sponsorship of Dyslexia/ADHD Awareness Month Activities in October—Nicolel-ocher
(co-Chair of Dyslexia support group of LexSEPTA) and Jennifer Yaar (Chair of ADHD
support group of LexSEPTA).

Committee discussed whether we should write up a proclamation for ADHD. Thiswill be
put on agenda for October.
SB moved to co-sponsorship of October Dyslexia/ADHD Awareness Month
activities; TG second: Minutes approved unanimously

Public comments include encouragement to include working with the LPD andLFD.
6. Presentation by Mr. Charles Horning of Planning Board—Comprehensive Planning
Presentation will be on Wednesday, September 22—see town calendar.
Mr. Hornig presented on several Planning Board zoning initiatives that will help
increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in Lexington housing. For more information
visit the Planning Board webpage.
Committee members gave their support for this work and encouraged the
Planning Board to let the LHRC know how we can be supportive.
Public Comment— Please attend the—Comprehensive Plan meeting, September2l.
7. No Hate November Update
The program will focus on looking at the unique gifts and challenges of having
multiple marginalized identities and will include information about Intersectionality.
We are looking for additional community members for this workgroup.
8. Workgroups
a. Workgroup with Commission On Disabilities on Impact of COVID on
Persons with Disabilities
MDR volunteered to Chair this group.
SH moved to form a joint workgroup with the COD on the Impact of COVIDon
Persons with Disabilities; MI second - approved unanimously
b. Racial Disparities in Lexington
Committee discussed whether this should this be a standing
subcommittee rather than a workgroup?
SB moved that LHRC form a standing subcommittee on Racial Disparities in
Lexington; FY second - approved unanimously
