CPAC Members Present: Sarah Felton, Co-Chair; Chris Herbert, Co-Chair; Larry Freeman; Rich McDonough; Patrick Sullivan, Marilyn Fenollosa; Hema Bhatt; Leonard Morse-Fortier CPAC Liaisons Present: Bob Creech, Liaison of the Planning Board; Melanie Thompson, Liaison of the Planning Board; Mark Sandeen, Liaison of the Select Board, Kathleen Lenihan, Liaison of the School Committee Staff Members present: Carol Kowalski, Assistant Town Manager for Development; Amanda Loomis, Planning Director; Molly Belanger, Land Use Planner Consultants Present (Co-Leads): Daphne Politis, Community Circle; Martha Lyon, Martha Lyon Landscape Architecture I. Meeting Opening Sarah Felton, Co-chair, called the meeting to order at 7:04 P.M. 11. Approval of Meeting Minutes The Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) reviewed the minutes of June 1, 2021. Marilyn Fenollosa moved that the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee(CPAC) approve the meeting minutes of June 1, 2021. Hema Bhatt seconded the motion. The CPAC voted in favor of the motion 8-0-0. MOTION PASSED III. Debrief of June 15' Public Forum Event • Daphne Politis, Community Circle, asked the CPAC to discuss what went well during the event and what could be improved for next time. Many CPAC members highlighted successes of the event. • Martha Lyon, Marthy Lyon Landscape Architecture, and Ms. Politis reviewed key themes in regard to the feedback received from the public forum. Ms. Lyon and Ms. Politis read from a document titled "Summary of Public Forum: LexingtonNEXT Comprehensive Plan June 15, 2021". This document has been posted on the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee "Events" webpage under the June 15 Public Forum event description. IV. Next Steps • Ms. Felton asked each CPAC member to submit a headshot of themselves to post onto the official LexingtonNext website. 1 • Ms. Politis mentioned the next opportuinity for public input with Social Pinpoint. o Social Pinpoint is a survey forum that allows the public to provide input by using maps of Lexington to identify best locations for improvements (affordable housing, bike lanes etc.)The Social Pinpoint maps will be hosted on the LexingtonNext.org website. o The CPAC discussed what questions should be asked and how they may be phrased. o Ms. Politis suggested the idea of providing a brief resources page to acompany the Social Pintpoint survey to show visual examples of housing options (housing above retail, multi-family units etc.) Hema Bhatt moved that the CPAC adjourn. Leonard Morse-Fortier seconded the motion. The Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee(CPAC) voted in favor of motion 8-0-0. MOTION PASSED The Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) meeting of July 651, 2021, adjourned at 8:54 pm. 2
