Installed a 48 foot fence along the side yard, next to the driveway. The fence measures between 5 feet-6 feet tall. The material used was a white cedar. All in Favor 7:05 PM 1357 Massachusetts Avenue: William Erickson, exterior architectural changes in the Battle Green District. Proposed plans for expansion of several existing spaces and addition of a new mudroom from plans dated September 8, 2015. The mudroom will be an access point from the detached garage to the north side of the property. The mudroom foundation will use existing material of granite veneer, with a copper roof. The current porch will be insulated and turned into a year round sunroom. A portion of the East wall along the central stair will be bumped out to create a study and a hall connecting the family room to the living room. A portion of the southeast corner will be extended on all three floors-including the living room, bedrooms, and attic. All approved on condition of continuation for door manufacturer and light fixtures used on back porch. 7:10 PM 46 Bedford Street: Eric Brown, exterior architectural changes in the Battle Green District. He proposed hanging vertical banners between the existing banner rods on the building. The banner rods were installed when building was constructed, and banner concepts were also previously part of the approved design.. The banners have three styles with vinyl materials being used, hanging from seven rods. The colors for the patterns are yellow/gold as shown on the September 1, 2015 drawing. The banners would be 7’-2”tall and 1”-6” wide. Approved, 3 in favor: 2 opposed. CONTINUED HEARINGS 40 Hancock Street: Jane and Stephen Williamson, exterior architectural changes in the Hancock Clarke District. No representative was present for hearing. PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION Meeting broadcasted by LexMedia 21 Muzzey Street: Nathan Alvarado, Spacecraft Architects, exterior architectural changes in the Battle Green District. Proposed an elevator vent with shaft enclosure with louvers on side. The cover to elevator shaft will be brick materials, with 2 inch bluestone caps at the top. The bricks will corbel out. Brick veneer will fill the inside “panel”. The trim will be a polyash material, with a painted finish. There will also be a 2 foot by 5 foot banner along fencing on Raymond St, and also on Muzzey St, with the company name and logo printed on it. The trim and banner were approved, with one opposed. Continuation for type of brick to be used and kind of metal used for louver. 927 Mass Ave: Iana Vitkova, exterior architectural changes in the East District. No representative present. Continued to October 1, 2015. INFORMAL HEARINGS 1707 Massachusetts Avenue: Aristea Souliopoulos, exterior architectural changes and signage in the Battle Green District. Proposed two store signs, one of which will hang in the storefront and the second in the back along building. OTHER BUSINESS Discussion Approve Minutes from August 6, 2015: Not approved, pending Chair Hopkins additions Grain Mill Alley follow up: Temporary installation will come down in entirety after October 12, 2015. Cary Memorial Hall Sidewalk: A second mockup will be prepared. HDC Guidelines and Application forms: Guidelines and application are being created and updated by Chair Hopkins and Committee. Mass Ave streetscape proposals: No decisions have been made Regulatory Agency protocol: Selectman suggestion to always speak into microphone, reframe from side comments,, strive for unbiased decision making. 14 Maple Street: Chair Hopkins informed commission that property was currently a legal matter in litigation
