Minutes of the meeting held on Thursday, December 10t ", 2015
Members Present: Mark Solomon, Andrea Michelson, Andrew Thomas, Peter Lawrence,
William Thomas, Nic Fusco, Joseph Lahiff, Avery Gehring, Rachel Michelson, Meghan
Buschini, Hadar Boker, Jimmy Lane, Venuri DeSilva, Annie Reilly, Nicholas Newton -Cheh,
Jack Mitchell, Ishaan Khurana, Deb Hankins, Doug Lucente, Shannon DeGuglielmo, Karen
Duprey, and Joe Hankins.
Members Absent: Ashley Walsh, Courtney Walsh, Shaun McLaughlin, Thomas Barry,
Mitchell Heyda, Ganga Nair, Noah Jacobson, and Sean Maloney.
1. The minutes from the November meeting were approved.
2. Holiday Fundraising - So far our holiday fundraising has been extremely successful. We
made $460 at the tree lighting, $570 at the two concerts on Saturday the 5th, $460 at the
concert on Sunday the 6th, and $250 on Friday the 11th. This means that we have raised
around $1700. Nice job to all of you who participated in one of these events. We are not
planning on fundraising outside Sunoco or Cumberland Farms this year because we have
raised enough from these events.
3. The Turkey Drive this year was very successful. All the groups delivered their turkey
dinners quickly and there were no issues. Remember to not tell others where you went in
order to maintain the privacy of the recipients.
4. We discussed all of our future events for this year. There will be no event in January, just
a meeting. In February we have the Valentine's day luncheon for seniors. This is a really
fun event where we serve lunches and chat with the seniors there. In March we have the
Cotting School. This will be after the end of the term so sometime after the 24th. In April
we will be working on the float, which will not require much work this year. We could
also do a car wash sometime in April or May.
Our next meeting is Thursday, January 14 at '7:00 pm.
