• Suggestions for future Let's Chat topics: (i) school
space issues, including any plans for construction or
redistricting; & (ii) technology use at Harrington.
• Members discussed the possibility of providing
babysitting at next year's Let's Chat to make it
possible for more parents to attend.
4. SBSC funds: end of school year
balance
• Except for $25 for the parent survey, SBSC did not
spend its allocated PTA funds this year.
• Michelle Dardeno will check with the PTA to see
whether unused funds can carry over to next year.
• Members agreed that going forward, any funds
available for grants to teachers should be well -
publicized early in the year.
5. LexSBSC Roundtable: update
and scope for next year
• School Committee expects to host a series of panel
discussions on topics potentially relevant to School
Improvement Plans next fall. LexMedia will broadcast
those discussions. The Site Council Roundtable will
follow up those panel discussions with more in -depth
discussions during its regular monthly meetings.

6. School Committee's creation of •
a new 17-member
subcommittee: discussion
about SBSC's appointment
All Council members, including parents, staff, and
community members, are welcome to attend all
Roundtable sessions.
The Roundtable still needs volunteers for next year.
Council members interested in volunteering should
contact Polly Kien le,
School Committee recently announced that it would
form a committee to advise the Superintendent on
space issues over the summer. It requested that each
school select two parent representatives to serve on
that committee, one appointed by Site Council and
the other by the PTA.
The PTA solicited applications for both positions via
listserv, and three Harrington parents submitted
applications by yesterday's deadline.
Due to time constraints, Council members
unanimously voted to appoint Michelle Dardeno,
Rucha Londhe, Jen Roney, and Mona Potter as a
subcommittee authorized to review the statements of
interest and select the Council's representative from
among the three candidates.

Future Topics
• The PTA is currently administering voting online.
Voting will close on June 17. Over 100 parents have
voted so far.

welcome to attend any SBSC meetings, which are
open to the public,
• The Council extended its appreciation to Rucha
Londhe and Micah Viana for their service.
