The GCC sponsorship saves the application fee to the Town since the GCC is a Town committee. • The MAPC visit is scheduled for 8:45am in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room on Oc- tober 8. There will be a half hour or so of presentation, including a short presenta- tion of the development of the ACROSS concept and routes by Keith, followed by a walk on a segment of Route A, through lLowervVine bBrook, Chiesa Farm and Parker Meadow. • Conflict of Interest meeting - Peggy was unable to attend. (You probably got an email with the paperwork, and must, as a committee member, complete an online course every two years.) • Brochure distribution - we have about 1000 left, which means we’ve distributed 11,000 brochures in the past year. It cost us about $1,700.00 to print the 12,000. It would only be a small dollar amount more to order 15,000 next time. It probably does not make sense to order more now. We should wait until the new routes are marked. We discussed creating a QR code to be made into stickers to place on the brochure holders so people could access the online maps with a smartphone. Bob will look into QR code stickers. We will leave the lucite brochure boxes up for the winter even though they are empty. We need to think about how often to up- date the printed brochure. The website can be updated easily as necessary. Park- ing areas should be marked on the maps. • The website revision is happening, but there are lots of steps. • There is a residential development going in on Lincoln Street near the Cambridge Reservoir. This could be a good opportunity for developing trails and a parking area. • Shire Trail - there will be more information available by the October meeting. Ongoing Business : • Route E/F work is ongoing, communicating with Conservation and Recreation as necessary, Peggy has been talking with Karen Mullins and Karen Simmons, re- spectively. The Martingale Rd/Freemont St intersection needs a post where the trail goes in at 2 Martingale. Dig Save should be called for post installation. About a dozen posts will be needed between Meagherville and Poor Farm. Also, leaves will need to be cleared off the steep part of the trail where the trail exits from the Freemont St Playground. This Bikeway-to-Battle Road connection does not require going before the Selectmen. We can update them later on. We should let Karen Mullins know, as a courtesy, that we will be going through the Poplar St play area. We also need to be in touch with the National Park about putting in an “End of Route”post. We discussed getting stickers to say END that will go on the existing markers when necessary. Eileen is still working on the route plan for the path go- ing from the Lincoln Park section of ACROSS Route B to the Poor Farm exten- sionand Meagherville, she will confer with Dave Williams about the portion of the route that goes through Lincoln Park’help. John Livsey, Dave Cannon and Dave Pinsonneault should all be kept in the loop as well. • We may need to re-post Willards’Woods when the stream daylighting project is finished.
