Cody, Health Director Documents: Agenda Minutes Documentation regarding MHFA training Environmental Health Report Documentation regarding 87 Pleasant Street Documentation regarding Beijing Restaurant Documentation regarding Rodent Control activities 1.) Minutes of June 9, 2015 approved with corrections. 2.) Community Health a.) CHNA grant update: Mental Health First Aid classes were scheduled for July, 2015. b.) Community Health and Infectious Disease Report: the following reportable diseases were discussed ; Malaria, Vibrio alginolyticus, Camplobacter and Babesiosis. 3.) Environmental Health a.) Environmental Health Report- reviewed various inspections conducted by Health Agent. b.) Food Inspection program 1.) Beijing Chinese Restaurant, Ms. Frances Cheng, Manager and Ms. Maureen Lee, Food Service Solutions discussed progress and recent inspection reports. c.) State Sanitary Code Case Review 1.) 87 Pleasant Street 2.) 33 Fottler Avenue and the IPM Survey was discussed by Don Rivard. Updates on IPM actives was provided to the BOH. d.) Pool and Spa 1.) Emerson Garden requested a variance to operate without a lifeguard from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. After a brief discussion, B. Perlmutter motioned that a variance be granted to Emerson Gardens to operate without a lifeguard from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM "The Lexington Board of Health grants the variance request to the Emerson Garden Seasonal Pool facility from the requirement of lifeguards for the safe operation of pools as listed under 105 CMR 435.23 (1). In addition, all the requirements of 105 CMR 435.23 (2) shall be met including all signage which includes: "Warning No Lifeguard on Duty" in easy to read, legible letters which are at least four inches high "Children under age 16 should not use swimming pool without an adult in attendance" and another sign that states, "Adults should not swim alone. This variance will expire at the end of the Seasonal Pool season or upon notification of an unsafe operating condition at a specific facility." Seconded by S. MacKenzie e.) Old Res bathing beach lab data water quality results were discussed. f.) Mosquito & Tick related health education and disease prevention activities were discussed with the BOH. 5.) Emergency Preparedness a.) Health and Medical Coordinating Coalition, (HMCC) update. Reviewed Coalition map and how Region 4A and Region 4B would merge into one Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coalition.
