District:

1874 Massachusetts Avenue: This project should have been listed as an informal hearing. Colin Smith discussed
exterior architectural changes in the Battle Green District. He proposed to replace the Cary Library South entrance wood
doors with aluminum framed glass doors. The Commission did not feel replacing wood doors with aluminum was
appropriate for this historic building. Because the applicant had intended this as an informal hearing, no vote was taken.

1792 Massachusetts Avenue:
Amran Haq, of `Im Wireless, Verizon' proposed a plan for signage in the Battle Green District. The proposed work would
be a renovation of the storefront including a new sign, lighting, base brick reduction, retiling of the entry way, and
painting woodwork. The signage would use new LED (3000K) lighting in place of existing halogen bulbs. It would
measure 224" X 21.5" X 3/4" with PVC Panel. The color would be a Verizon PMS red with white 3/4 thick check mark and
Verizon letters. Stud mounted in PVC would be a white /z' thick "IM Wireless Premium Wireless Retailer" text. The

entirety of the sign would be attached to the building in PVC, stud mounted. The current brick base front would be
reduced to a height of five bricks (3 feet), and the Glass front would be replaced in conjunction with base bricks. The tile
leading to the entrance would be replaced with matching tile from existing walkway.
This hearing is continued. They will come back with signage revisions from corporate company.

• Strip and re -roof with Owens Corning Duration style architectural shingles. Color: Estate Gray.
