SPECIAL MEETING –JULY 16, 2015
MINUTES
1.ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Nicholas Santosuosso at 6:05 P.M.

2.EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS REPORT
A.LABBB Program contract review
Dr. Steve Goodwin from LABBB had approached Steve a few months ago
with a new student from LABBB. He is from the woodworking shop at
Minuteman Technical High School and is a great asset to LHA and has much
potential. He has been working part time here for the last 2 months. He is away
for the summer but once school is back in the fall, he will be working every other
week.
LHA is billed $14.50 per hour from LABBB. LABBB carries the Workers
Compensation insurance. The student is paid $9.00 per hour from LABBB.
We will need to contact the state regarding the apprentice program so his salary
can be adjusted.
Upon a motion by Leo P. McSweeney and seconded by Robert D. Peters, the
Board voted to approve the LABBB contract. The roll call vote was as follows:

B.Project updates, contracts, change order approvals:
GV, VV, Mass Ave, CV
Greeley Village: The 4 unit accessible project is being delayed due to Eversource.
There is a 13000 volt direct bury line in the middle of the site that needs to be
removed. Steve has made numerous phone call to them, as well as Senator
Donnelly’s office. Architect Bill Peterson of Konseptual Design has been hired as
the Clerk of the Works. He at the job site 4 hours daily.
Eversource is going to give notice as to when they are removing the wiring as the
power will have to be shut down. Tenants will be notified as soon as LHA is.
The tenant requested lighting is being installed 7/21/15.
The Door Project is awaiting the final punch list which includes caulking and
exterior door painting.
Vynebrooke Village: The change order in the amount of $115,000.00 is being
processed.
Mass Ave: There is additional funding available. We are waiting for the architect
to update the scope of work to move forward.
Countryside Village and Scattered Sites: The bathroom Sub Bids are due 7/21/15
and the General Bid is due 7/28/15. All of the Scattered Site bathrooms are being
updated as well as 2 showers at Countryside Village as Reasonable
Accommodations.
