HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-04-06-AC-min 04/06/15 AC Minutes Minutes Town of Lexington Appropriation Committee (AC) April 6, 2015 Place and time- Lexington High School, Room 221, 7 00 p.m Members present Glenn Parker, Chair, John Bartenstem, Vice Chair and Secretary; Mollie Garberg; Alan Levine, Beth Masterman, Susan McLeish, Eric Michelson, Richard Neumeier, Andrei Radulescu-Banu Members absent Rob Addelson (non-voting, ex officio) The meeting was called to order at 7 02 p.m. 1 Announcements. Ms Garberg agreed to help represent this Committee at the mini-summit the Town Manager is planning to discuss potential school capital projects Mr Parker reported that Article 11 Appropriate for Municipal Capital Projects and Equipment, would be taken up on Apnl 8t1' 2. 2015 ATM Articles. • Article 8 (c). FY2016 CPA Projects, First Parish Church Restoration Historic Structure Report: It was noted that Article 8 (c) would be coming before ATM later in the evening. This Committee had previously opposed the request with a 3-4-2 vote The two previously abstaining members voted to oppose Article 8 (c), making the vote of the Committee 3-6 Mr Radulescu-Banu said that he may speak about his personal support of the Article on Town Meeting floor Mr Neumeier said that he would speak about the reasons for this Committee's opposition only if he thought it would add something new to the discussion. • Article 44. Resolution on Fossil Fuel Divestment(Citizen Article). Mr Parker noted that this Committee would need to finalize discussion of Article 44 at its Apnl 8th meeting because the Article was scheduled to be taken up by ATM that evening.
