HomeMy WebLinkAbout2015-03-30-AC-min 03/30/15 AC Minutes Minutes Town of Lexington Appropriation Committee (AC) March 30,2015 Place and time- Lexington High School, Room 221, 7 00 p.m Members present Glenn Parker, Chair, John Bartenstem, Vice Chair and Secretary; Mollie Garberg; Alan Levine, Beth Masterman, Susan McLeish, Enc Michelson, Richard Neumeier Members absent Andrei Radulescu-Banu, Rob Addelson (non-voting, ex officio) Other attendees None The meeting was called to order at 7 00 p.m. 1 Announcements. Mr Parker reported that the Ad hoc Community Center Advisory Committee met earlier in the day A June Lexington Community Center(LCC) opening date for current Recreation Department and Human Services programs is anticipated. There will be one "umbrella" for all the programs The Town has opened three new positions associated with the LCC, one is expected to be filled by an internal candidate who should be able to get up to speed quickly The other two positions are being advertised internally and externally 2. Minutes. A motion was made and seconded to accept the minutes for March 12th March 19th and March 23, with edits as discussed. The motion passed. VOTE 8-0 3 Parking Fund. It was noted that there is State legislation that governs the Town's Parking Fund. Income includes parking meter revenue, it does not include parking fines The income is used to maintain the parking meters and some parking-related pavement, enforce parking regulations, and pay for a portion of Lexington Center traffic control expenses Income exceeds expenses by $30,000- $60,000 annually, and the fund currently has a balance of approximately $600,000 The meeting was adjourned at 7 15 p.m The documents used at the meeting are listed below Respectfully submitted, Sara Arnold Recording Secretary Approved July 9, 2015 Exhibits 1 Agenda, posted by Glenn Parker 1
