Lorain began the meeting by saying that the TCC will meet in two weeks (3/4/15) and every week thereafter until the Patriot's Day activities. Lorain also gave the group the news that Mary Gillespie was resigning. The group will plan an appropriate celebration for Mary to thank her for her dedicated years of service to the TCC and the town of Lexington. The Committee approved the minutes of the meetings of December 10, 2014 and January 7, 2015. Dance Around the World has not settled on a second date if the original date of 3/14/15 is postponed. Patriots Day 2015 The rest of the meeting was devoted to discussing the applications for the Patriot's Day parade. The discussion began with those groups that don't charge a fee. 1. Third Legal Operations Detachment 2. Ancient & Honorable Artillery Co. 3. Bedford Minutemen Co. 4. Bhakti Center of Lexington 5. Chinese American Association of Lexington 6. LHS Class of 1965 7. The Dance Inn 8. Excel Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation 9. Follen Community Church 10.Indian American Association of Lexington 11.Lexington Community Farm 12.Lexington Council for the Arts 13.Lexington Girl Scouts 14.Middlesex Sheriff's Official Honor Guard 15.US Submarine Veterans - Marblehead Base 16.USS Constitution 17. Wilson Farm 18.Youville Place Assisted Living Residence The group discussed overall parade operations. Paul will be getting (12) 2 way radios from MEMA. They are good for all of eastern Massachusetts. Paul will also return them. 8 or 9 golf carts will also be available. The group voted to approve all of the non-fee groups with the exception of the Bhatki group who Lorain will research more in depth. The next groups discussed were the ones who charge a fee. 1. 13th Massachusettts Infantry 2. Aleppo Shriners 3. Boston Windjammers 4. Clowning for Kids 5. Hallamore Corp - Clydesdale Hitch 6. Her Majesty's 1st Regiment of Foot Guards 7. Her Majesty's 10th Regiment of Foot in America 8. Immaculate Heart of Mary School Band 9. Jim Kilroy's Jambalaya Jazz Band 10.Lexington Minuteman Co. 11.Lowell Spinners 12.Middlesex Co. Volunteer Fife and Drum 13.New Liberty Jazz Band 14.Norwich University Regimental Band 15.The Reminisants 16.Stuart Highland Pipe Band 17.Sudbury Ancient Fyfe & Drum Co. 18.US Naval Sea Cadet Corp. Div. 19.Waltham American Legion Band 20.William Diamond Junior Fife & Drum Corp. 21.Worcester Fire Brigade Pipes & Drums The group voted to conditionally approve these groups, except the 10th Regiment of Foot on the condition that they accept TCC's counter offer. Sondra will also contact Aleppo Shriners to ask if the stated price includes the clown and mini car units. The group, Clowning for Kidz Foundation is also tabled for more information. The Grand Marshall for the parade will be Hank Manz, who has accepted this honor. We will also clarify if the person who wins the Youth Award marches in the afternoon parade.
