*The meeting began at 6:59.
*The minutes of the meeting of March 25, 2015 were approved.
*Sondra told the group about the Cape Cod Brigade, part of the Shriners, who will now be
participating in the parade in addition to the Shriner clowns. Sondra confirmed that Laura Hopkins,
Joe Rancatore, and Colin Smith will judge the floats. As Eric Michelson is unable to serve as
parade announcer this year, the group encouraged Sondra to ask Marilyn Beyer and Sam Doran to
take on this assignment.
*Lorain asked for clarification about the re-enactment. Members of the TCC helped to let Lorain
know about what had happened in the past. The reviewing stand, bleachers, VIP's, different colored
tickets for elected officials, amount of tickets distributed to each person were discussed, as well as
procedures for the morning of the re-enactment.
*Lorain reported that 2 more groups had asked to be in the paradeā¦.one from Lincoln Labs and a
group of scouts from the Arlington Soap Box Derby. The committee voted to table these groups
until next year. The winner of the Minuteman Cane award will also be in the parade.
*Handicapped visitors on the morning of the re-enactment will sit in a dedicated area, and will be
allowed to have one person accompany them. The DPW takes care of the chairs for this.
* Lorain passed out more returned sponsorship letters. Other loose ends were discussed, i.e. people
needing cars, signage, what military vehicles were coming, etc.
*Lorain went over roster of participants and the lineup for the Sunrise Parade.
* The rehearsal for the re-enactment will be on Saturday, April 11th at 2:00 pm. Rain date will be
Sunday.
*Linda spoke to Rev. Brent Maracle and cleared up any concerns the group had regarding the
"prayer service".
*Dave Taylor will be in town on the 17th to help. Bob and Wayne will pick up the cases of water.
Paul is picking up the 2-way radios.
* Suzie, Rick and Lorain did a walk-through with the Old Guard.
*Charlie told the group about the jackets. 19 people have paid for the jackets. Those people who
order a jacket late will be charged an extra $10 for handling. Charlie will have a spread sheet of
everyone's name / amount paid to the group by next week.
The meeting adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
