Approval of outstanding minutes • September and October minutes approved as amended 2. Review+ status of outstanding action • All action items complete items Agenda Topics Discussed 3. Open meeting law requirements • Discussion between SBSC members should be done in meetings. Email is subject to open meeting law. Meetings can be added with adequate notice if necessary. Subgroups can also be formed to meet on issues if necessary. 4. Enrollment Conversation • PTA meeting was held to discuss increasing enrollment in Lexington where Dr. Ash presented the town's plan. • Harrington plan proposal was to move preschool to CO and retrofit preschool wing into the 3�d grade pod. Plan is very expensive so a new plan is needed • Special town meeting to be held to possibly request funds for modular trailers at Fiske, Bridge and Bowman. Discussion regarding a long term project to build extra wings on Harrington. • The 3 elementary schools that feed into 1 Harrington Elementary School Site Council — Meeting Minutes 2014-2015 Academic Year 4. Discussion regarding a long term project to build extra wings on Harrington. • The 3 elementary schools that feed into Clarke have high enrollment and is creating overcrowding at Clarke Middle School. • Enrollment data reviewed for Harrington shows high rate of students moving in and out • PTA calls to welcome every new family at the beginning of the year but there is currently not a system in place to welcome new families mid-year. • Council discussed international students and how we can better welcome them • SBSC will create procedures to welcome students when they arrive mid-year for all students 5.
