RE Clarke elevator
Dear Pnncipal Monaco,
The Lexington Commission on Disability has recently reviewed the audit study
completed on the public buildings in Lexington summarizing the technical deficiencies of each
facility that do not meet the ADA accessibility standards We have pnortized what we see as
the most important projects to propose as features of a five-year plan to correct the problems
We have decided that the most cntical need is the elevator at Clarke Middle School Since this is
a large and expensive project, we would first like to see a study done to carefully and
thoughtfully plan what should be done
The Commission would like your support for us to proceed with our proposal for the
implementation of this study We value your guidance and input as we work together to resolve
this crucial access issue for students We look forward to working closely with you and your
staff as well as with Pat Goddard, Dr Ash, Linda Chase, the School Committee, and members of
Lexington SEPAC, as we are very committed to seeing this project happen.
Please contact me with any questions you may have using either my email address

Sincerely,
Victoria Buckley
